The Competition Commission investigated the supply and sale of Prescription Only Medicines (POMs) in the U.K. One of the main findings the British Government accepted was the recommendation that:
Pharmacies should be allowed to dispense prescription and non-prescription animal medicines.
This enabled Nutrecare to dispense prescription medications through its pharmacy. All medication is sourced from the same suppliers as your vet but we are able to offer more competitive pricing because of our bulk purchasing power and lower overheads. Beware of some other websites selling prescription and non-prescription animal medications imported from abroad without proper marketing authorisation, this is both illegal and some of the medication may be illegal copies.
